Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM launches today on RuneScape 3
RuneScape 3's new Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM season goes live today at 1:00 PM BST with new combat progression, rebalanced relics, and a region-locking system.
Leagues II: EQUILIBRIUM is launching today on RuneScape 3, according to a post on RuneScape 3 – Steam News. The new season will go live at approximately 1:00 PM BST, with the team conducting final pre-launch checks before the rollout.
The league introduces several new systems. Blessings offer a new combat progression mechanic from the start, while relics have been rebalanced to provide more meaningful build choices. Key questlines can now be skipped automatically, letting players dive straight into content without grinding requirements. A new Region Locking system lets you choose which areas of Gielinor to unlock as you progress, shaping your own unique path through the game.
Tasks have been streamlined for smoother progression with bigger milestones and more opportunities to earn League Points. The post notes that RuneScape itself has been significantly updated over the past eight months through ongoing improvements to progression, combat, worldbuilding, and quality-of-life features.
Marketplace changes are also coming for Player-Owned Housing. The Anniversary Architect and Party bundles will become single-purchase items with recipes added, and players who bought them multiple times will receive refunds, though a firm timeline hasn’t been set yet. Additionally, some trophies from bosses including Vorkath, Seiryu, and Ivar are being changed or removed.
The Golden Gnome Awards 2026 voting is open until Friday 14th August. RuneWiki has published the full task list and area guides to help players plan their League route.
