The Japan-specific deadline
For packages sold in Japan, Rockstar says the PlayStation voucher expires 170 days after GTA VI launches on November 19, 2026. Buyers who leave a sealed copy on the shelf or purchase it as a gift should therefore pay close attention to that deadline.
The expiry applies to the download code included in the package. It is not a deadline for finishing the game, and the package should not be described as containing a playable disc.
What buyers should do
Japanese PS5 buyers should redeem the voucher before the printed expiry date and ensure the package region matches their PlayStation account. Rockstar says Xbox Series X|S codes do not expire and are not region-locked.
